How to Reach the Waterfalls of Vallone di Tornareccio:

  1. Set your GPS to this address: Canyon "Cascate del Vallone." Park near the entrance by the roadside.
  2. There is space for 2/3 cars. Enter through the wooden sign and proceed.
  3. After about 5 minutes, you will come across a tree with signs for "Pisciarello" and "Pisciarone." The first one, in about 5 minutes, will take you to a somewhat abandoned picnic area, while the second will continue to the actual waterfall.
  4. Continue toward Piasciarone, and you will soon come across the first waterfall. Small but very beautiful. Follow the well-marked trail to the right of the waterfall and, after a short while, you'll see more waterfalls coming into view.
  5.  Continue along the path, cross the small river, and climb the wooden ladder. Now comes the slightly more challenging part due to the slippery terrain. Hold onto the steel rope and pass the slippery rocks (about 6 meters in total). From there, continue.
  6. You're about to reach the Waterfalls of Vallone. Follow the trail, and you'll already start to see the waterfall. Unfortunately, the trail side has collapsed. Cross from one side of the river to the other, and you'll have arrived at this oasis of relaxation.
  7. Now it's time for "pisciarello." Go back along the same path, being careful not to slip. After about 10 minutes, you'll be back near the signs; proceed to "Pisciarello." Less than 5 minutes, and you'll find yourself there.

Conclusion

In summary, the waterfalls of Vallone di Tornareccio represent a hidden treasure in Abruzzo, offering a sensory and visual experience that captures the essence of natural beauty and invites visitors to connect with the majesty of nature.
