Impressions

The sanctuary of Buoncammino in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Here it all begins. A journey that will take us across Italy to discover unique, exciting, and sometimes forgotten beauties.

The alarm sounds at 7:00 am. All is silent. Only a gentle breeze accompanies us for the upcoming days of our stay here. A wonderful awakening, there's no denying it: the sanctuary behind us marks the start of a journey at a steady pace.

We call Fabrizio Scolaferru, the councilor for tourism and sports of the Municipality of Santa Teresa di Gallura, and he provides us with a facility to leave our backpacks as we prepare to explore the town. Time to meet Gigi, and immediately the kindness of Sardinia makes itself felt. He hands us the keys to the facility to use it as a logistical center for the coming days. Hurriedly heading towards the town, and the first wonders are immediately visible: Rena Bianca Beach, the Santa Reparata cliffs, and the Capo Testa lighthouse.

A quick visit to the municipality of Santa Teresa di Gallura to express gratitude for their free patronage, and then on to new discoveries, new emotions, and new stories to tell...

The conversation with Peppone from the Motoclub of Santa Teresa di Gallura was the cherry on top. The discovery of the word 'ajo' (a local greeting), the Nuraghi, the Sardinian pine trees, and tourism in Gallura. All seasoned with excellent myrtle gifted by Peppone and a carnival mask of good omen for the long journey we are about to embark on.

People, places, and landscapes that we will carry with us for a lifetime. Thank you, Santa Teresa di Gallura, for these three days of discoveries and beauties.
